Research shows that teletherapy can be just as effective as in‑person therapy, allowing clients to benefit from counselling in a way that is flexible, accessible, and tailored to their needs.

Yes. I understand busy schedules and commitments during workdays, so I offer evening and weekend sessions to make therapy more accessible.

Yes! Currently, all sessions I offer are virtual. Sessions are hosted on a secure PIPEDA and HIPAA compliant video platform.

The focus is on you—your history, current concerns, and goals. We begin collaboratively, setting a safe pace before transitioning to goal-oriented work.

My session fee reflects the specialized training, time, and care I bring to each client. I don’t post my fee publicly, but I’m happy to discuss it during our call. I offer limited sliding scale availability.

I accept payment by e-Transfer, Visa, and Mastercard. A receipt will be provided after each session for your records or insurance reimbursement.

In your first session, I will focus on getting to know you at a pace that feels comfortable. We will explore your journey so far—where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what brings you to therapy, and I will likely ask questions to guide the way. After the first couple of sessions, we’ll shift into collaborative dialogue.

Yes. All sessions are confidential. I use a secure, PIPEDA compliant video platform to protect your privacy.

No information will be shared with anyone without your prior written consent, except in the following circumstances where I am legally and ethically required to break confidentiality:

  • If there is an immediate risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else
  • If there is suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult
  • If records are subpoenaed by court order

If you have any questions about confidentiality or your rights, I’m happy to discuss them further.

The frequency of sessions is determined collaboratively  based on your unique needs, goals, and what feels most supportive to you. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, while others find bi-weekly or monthly more fitting. This can change as circumstances change.

There’s no right or wrong way to do therapy. You don’t have to be or speak in specific ways. Therapy is about making sense of what’s going on beneath the surface and identifying what might be getting in your way. To do this, we focus on real-life challenges and explore what’s working, what’s not, and what you might want to change.

Not at all. While emotions matter, therapy also involves exploring your beliefs, values, motivations,  habits, and communication patterns. This exploration entails looking at how these factors show up in your daily life, whether it’s in parenting, at work, in your relationships, or just how you view yourself.

I do not direct bill insurance companies. You will be provided with a receipt that can be submitted to insurance. It should be noted that coverage varies depending on the insurer and specific plan details. Please check with your insurance provider or plan to confirm coverage for services provided by Registered Counselling Therapist Candidates (RCT-Cs).

You’re not alone, and if you’re feeling unsure about trying it out again, that’s completely understandable. Not every therapist is the right fit, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean you did anything wrong, nor does it mean that therapy can’t be helpful in the future.

It may be helpful to ask yourself:

  • What felt off during my last experience?
  • What did I like about it?
  • What did I need more or less of?

Reflecting on these questions can help you identify the type of support that may work better for you now.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so the session can be offered to someone on the waitlist.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.
